Here you go, gang, the continuing tale of this year's runoff:
The water flow is abating, now down to 2,500 cubic feet per second, and, as snow melt gives way to spring creek-fed waters, look for water temperatures to begin to creep upwards. Currently water temp is at a yet crisp 43 degrees. In the intervening weeks ahead, look for the flow to further reduce to a very fishable 1,500 cfs and for the water temps to increase into the mid-50's, the latter sending signals to resident bug life that summer is shortly ahead and it is time to "hatch", replicate and propagate our fishing streams with literally billions of emerging flies...the food base for our Extravaganza fishing.
I do believe, all, that we are in for one very special fishing Extravaganza!!
Bueno, bueno, bueno!
Best to all in the nearness of it all,
Rock Creek Ron
