In just 48 hours from now the Wonderful Ones will be on the scene for Opening Day of Extravaganza 2019, and what a ride they are in for!
Headlining Dem Ones are long, long time veterans John “SOS” Reimann and his sidekick fishing partner Demetry “The Ghost” Kondrasheff, the former, a cpa, so monikered for his propensity to create disaster when none exists and the latter, an engineer, for his ability to sneak in and out of rooms and to fish so stealthy and effectively that nary a footprint is left in his path! Right on those hidden footprints and returning to the scene of it all are LA based financial advisor and Extravaganza veteran Craig “El Senor Feo” Benjamin (who I first met on a Patagonia fishing trip four years ago and now will not let a year pass without our wetting lines together and is so named for his ugly mug!); his (much!) better half and now fiancée La Na “La Senorita Bonita” Ching as well as Joe “Great Wall” Arnao (so nicknamed for the après Extravaganza picture he sent to me walking the Great Wall of China wearing his E-17 bamboo tee shirt). Also returning to the scene of it all from the Bay Area are seasoned veterans and HVAC guru Chris “Big Stick” Barger along with his sidekicks Krispy Kreme’s Jimmy “Dough Boy” Albano and investment advisor “Peter The Great” Karp.
This year’s Ones are comprised of a record number of rookies who are literally coming to us from all over the country. Witness Portland’s Rob Walker, Auburn, CA auto guru Tom Toohey, East Coast’s “Brother of Great Wall” Rick Arnao and John Sabatini, the Bay Area’s Saul Cohen and “Son of Saul” Ovadia Cohen and, from Southern California Matt “Too Tall” Tafoya and his bride Nancy.
“All for Ones and Ones for All” it is this year, so pack those bags, Ones, and get thyselves to your airports early for your arrivals this Saturday!!
